Founded in 1983, a sister company, Beadworks, began trading in the United States as a mail order supplier. This led to the opening of the first US store in 1987. Today the American organization has three company stores and six franchise stores. Both companies continue to sell through mail order and wholesale, supplying designers, stores and individual customers around the world.
