How to Order

 

This page contains step by step instructions on how to place an order on our websites (www.beadworks.co.uk and www.beadshop.co.uk) using secure e-commerce.

 

1. Finding what you want

You can either find the product you want by

  • using our 'Quick Search' facility by entering first four digits of the part number
  • You can also search by shape, size, colour and our old catalogue number
  • or you can use the navigation bar (in the left-hand margin of the website) to browse within the product categories.

This will give you a flavour of all of the beads, pearls, gemstones, crystals, charms and pendants, chains, finings (including semi-precious and pewter), tools, accessories, gift boxes, books and other products we stock within the subject area in which you are interested.

The main product categories are broken down to several levels, which offers you a reasonable level of detail when you browse.

You can view full details and enlarge images of any product you are interested in by clicking on 'View Details'.

 

2. Add an item you want to buy to your basket

Once you have found the item you would like to buy, you simply press the Add to Basket button. As soon as you add a product to your basket, a new 'Mini Basket' panel will appear on the top right hand area, showing a little image of the chosen item, the quantity, price, also calculate the cost of the delivery as well as the total price including VAT.


You can continue to browse the subject areas or search for other products and add them to your basket by pressing the appropriate Add to Basket button. At any time you can view your basket by clicking on the Basket / Checkout link on the horizontal menu.

 

3. View Basket

From the Basket / Checkout screen you can adjust the quantity of any product in the basket or delete products. After adjusting either the quantity or ticking the delete check box, please press the Update button to see the results of the change you have made.

 

4. Placing your order

Complete your order by following the four step order process. Click the Basket / Checkout link. You can amend your order by adjusting the quantity of any item in your basket or Remove them in Steps 1, 2 and 3 of the order process. If you amend your order please be sure to press the Update button before proceeding.

Step 1 - Basket Details

If you have a promotional code you should enter it here and press the Apply button.

 

Step 2 - Checkout

Press Go to Checkout to continue.

 

Step 3 - New Customer Register / Login

If you are a new customer you need to Register and enter your contact details, a password for your future use and your Invoice address and click on Save changes. If you are a returning customer you can login, using your email address and password and Next Step.

(Note that if you have ordered from our previous website your registration from that site will NOT have been transferred to the new website and you will need to register as a New Customer for your first order on the new website.)


There is a facility for your password to be sent to the email address you registered with, if you click on the Forgotten your password link.

 

Step 4 -Delivery Method

Note: Beadworks UK Limited reserves the right to amend or review freight charges without prior notice

Delivery costs include VAT for UK and Europe and exclude VAT outside Europe. If you are VAT registered in Europe and has already provided us the registration number, VAT will automatically be deducted from the shipping charge on checkout.

 

Royal Mail 1st Class Parcel Post

Orders sent via Royal Mail Parcel Post services are not tracked or insured by us. Should your order be lost or damaged in transit we will not replace any lost or damaged items free of charge.

Please note: it can sometimes take up to 15 working days for the Royal Mail delivery

 

Royal Mail 1st Class Parcel Post Signed-for

Orders sent via Royal Mail Parcel Post signed-for service can be tracked online at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item .  However this method of delivery is not insured and should your order get lost or damaged in transit we will be unable to replace any lost or damaged items free of charge.

All deliveries will need to be signed for by the recipient. Should you miss the delivery then you may need to go to your local post office to collect your parcel.  Should the parcel be returned back to us as undelivered, then you may be charged for second delivery if required or 10% restocking charge may apply.

Please note: it can sometimes take up to 15 working days for the Royal Mail delivery

 

European Royal Mail Tracked*1

Available for following destinations – Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden

Orders despatched outside of the UK can take 2-8 working days for delivery from the date of despatch. This service includes a tracking number, and you can track the status of your delivery online.

 

International Royal Mail Tracked*2

Available for following destinations – Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, United States

Orders despatched outside of the UK can take 3-10 working days for delivery from the date of despatch. This service includes a tracking number, and you can track the status of your delivery online. 

 


UK Courier
We aim to offer same day despatch on UK orders if received before 12 noon during our opening hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.  Orders received after 12 noon may be despatched on the next working day. 

Our Courier service may take 1-2 working days from the date of dispatch


Please note:  Tracked parcels have to be signed for personally by the recipient. There may be a charge if a parcel is undeliverable

 

Click & Pick your order from our Head Office in Theale

    1. Orders must be placed and fully paid for either online or via phone (+44 (0)1189 323701)
    2. Orders will be processed and be ready for collection the following working day between 11am – 4pm
    3. You will not be admitted into the warehouse due to health, safety and insurance reasons

 

Collection of your order from Beadworks Bead Shop in Covent Garden

    1. You can collect your order from our Bead Shop in Covent Garden by prior arrangement during the shop opening hours.
    2. Please allow 5 working days for collection. Standard courier delivery charge may apply should you wish to collect in less than 5 days

 

Customs Import Duties & Taxes

Goods shipped outside European Union may be subject to import duties & taxes of the destination country.  You will be responsible for clearance charges, duties and taxes in your country of arrival of goods

 

Should the weight of the parcel be  too heavy, bulky, high in value or contain items that could be damaged in transit, service then we reserve the right to call the customer for any extra charges required to send the package via courier service

 

PAYMENTS

  • Send your cheque with your order, made payable to “Beadworks UK Limited”.

  • As our prices may change and as we may be out of stock of an ordered item, please do not fill in the exact amount on your cheque. Instead, write beneath your signature “Not to exceed £.......”, with the estimated total value of your order, including carriage and VAT, plus, say, 10%, in round £s - e.g. “Not to exceed £40.00”. We will not present cheques for payment until your order is ready for despatch.

  • We also accept payment by VISA/MasterCard/Maestro/Delta/Solo. Give your card number and its expiry date (and, for Debit cards, the Issue Number and Valid From Date). Also, give the 3 digit security number on the reverse. Give your card’s statement address, if it is different from the address to which the order is to be sent.

    N.B. Payments by credit/debit cards: it is essential that the title, initials and name shown on your card are identical to those you put on your order, otherwise there is a high probability that your card will be rejected when we try to process the payment. This will delay your order’s despatch.

  • TRADE ACCOUNT - If you wish to apply for an account, please request an Account Application Form

    Please note that for orders placed from outside the UK we reserve the right to issue a proforma invoice for advance payment before the order is despatched - if you are outside the UK you might prefer to pay by credit card to ensure a quicker supply of your order.

  • Step 6 - Confirmation

    At this stage you are unable to adjust your order without returning to an earlier stage by pressing one of the links in the steps on the screen. A summary of your order, address information and payment method is displayed. If this is correct, you should press the Finish button to place your order.

    If you see this screen you have completed your order. You will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided and you can print this screen for reference.
