Pearls get dirty, just like any other jewellery, but you have to clean them with care or you'll end up with damaged gems. Use these cleaning tips to make sure your pearls live a long and lovely life.
- Wipe your pearls with a soft, lint free cloth before putting them away for storage.
- Put your pearls on AFTER you have applied makeup, perfume or lotions
- Store your pearls separately as they can be scratched by metal or stones on other jewelry

Use Storage Techniques that Do Not Damage Jewellery
DON'T put all your jewellery into one drawer. A diamond stone can scratch a pearl necklace or gold bead. Keep jewellery pieces separate and, ideally, wrapped in velvet, silk or a plastic zip-lock bag. |
