Pyrite

Pyrite mineral has metallic lustre and pale brass-yellow hue which has earned it the nickname fool's gold because of its resemblance to gold.

Marcasite jewellery is made from pyrite. Pyrite is similar to marcasite, but more stable and less brittle. Marcasite jewellery was particularly popular in the eighteenth century, the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers.
