A truely beautiful stone characterised by its fine deep violet-blue colour with fine golden flecks of pyrite (fool's gold) which is thought to encourage clarity and objectivity. Lapis is believed to bring about harmony in relationships and enhance love and fidelity within a marriage, as well as building self-confidence and self-awareness within people. Used as the anniversary gemstone for the 7th and 9th years of marriage it can also be used as the December birthstone.
